Trevyn and Grandpa

Grandpa had surgery on January 29th, and on the 31st we took the kids to visit him. This is Trevyn laying on Grandpa while drinking his bottle. Of course he only laid there for maybe 30 seconds because he is too active, but I was able to get a cute picture before he did get up.

Trayce Swimming

I took Trayce swimming on Friday while Trevyn was taking his nap (Dustin was home). He is obsessed with swimming for some reason, but it's cute. He loves his new swimsuit that Meme bought him with Buzz Lightyear on it! I can't wait until summer so that he can swim every day in his swimming pool in the backyard if he wants to. It will be a lot easier and cheaper :-)

Leapfrog Clickstart

I got this for Trayce for Christmas, and he absolutely LOVES it! It's called the Leapfrog Clickstart which hooks up to the TV, and you play games. He has about 5 different games (CARS, Nemo, Diego, Puppies, and Ni-Hao Kailan). A lot of the games are still too advanced for him because he doesn't know his letters yet, but some of the games are really easy for him. I would totally recommend this toy to anyone :-) It's great! Although, they are expensive. It retails for $40 at Wal-Mart, but I bought Trayce's back in about October for $13 on clearance. I got the games for really cheap too, and one of them I even got for free. Anyhow, it's awesome!

Buzz Lightyear

For about 4 days in a row, Trayce took his nap under his toddler bed, so we decided to go ahead and switch him to a twin bed. I bought him the Toy Story bed tent because I figure that since he liked sleeping under his bed, he would probably like sleeping under the tent. And, of course, he has LOVED it! And, then I checked the mail the other day, and there was a package for Trayce from Meme with the Buzz Lightyear swimsuit, which he also LOVES. He made me put it on him right away and got mad when I took it off him that night to put his pj's on, which were also Buzz :-)

Monkey Boys

Trevyn has discovered how to climb in this drawer, and he thinks it's the funniest thing. I need to put those drawer locks on them, but it's such a pain to install them. I don't guess it's hurting anything... until he falls out and busts his head on the floor.

Silly Boys

Trayce is actually being nice to Trevyn for once. Most of the time he's pushing him over or taking toys away from him. And, Trevyn was smiling up a storm because Trayce was doing something silly to make him laugh. I don't remember what he was doing though.

Swimming at the Lehi Legacy Center

We took Trayce and Trevyn swimming at the Lehi Legacy Center. We have been taking Trayce quite a bit since he was born, so he absolutely LOVES it!!! But, we haven't taken Trevyn very much, so he doesn't really care much for it. The first picture is of Trayce going down the enclosed slide by himself. He loves the slides! He is sooo obsessed with swimming that he says "swimming" almost every day, and it's getting really annoying. I even had to hide his swimsuit because he always wants to wear it. What a mean Mom :-)

4-Wheeler Ride

Pop's Lease

Pop took Dustin and Trayce out to his Lease where he hunts while we were in Arkansas, and Trayce loved it! He got to throw rocks in the water, which was from all the rain they had gotten. And, he got up in one of the deer stands. I'm thinking he would definitely love the outdoors if we lived in Arkansas.

This is Christmas morning in Arkansas. Meme and Pop got them toys from Santa and presents to open (way too much as usual). Trayce, Trevyn, and their 3 girl cousins all wore matching PJ's on Christmas morning. I don't have the picture of all of them together on my computer though because my sister took the picture.

We let Trayce and Trevyn open their Christmas presents before we left for Arkansas, and of course they got WAY TOO much, but they LOVED it!!! Trayce thought they were ALL his, and wanted to open Trevyn's too. He's sooo stingy! Hopefully he'll grow out of that soon :-)

We had family pictures taken by a friend of a friend. We were basically her guinea pigs. We originally started with trying to get outside pictures, but it was snowing and REALLY cold and windy so that didn't work with the kids or my hair :-) So, we decided to just come back to our house and try and get some decent pictures. I think they turned out really good of the kids. Plus, we got them for free so what more could I ask for.

Trevyn's 1st Birthday

Trevyn and his cousin Starlee had their combined 1st Birthday Party at Grandma and Grandpa's house on Sunday. As you can tell, they both LOVED the cake!!!

Although, neither one of them cared anything about opening presents. I'm sure Christmas is going to be a blast!

Trevyn the Monkey

So, Trevyn is into EVERYTHING now!!! He has learned to get on and off of the zebra toy that bounces, he has learned to climb on Trayce's rocking chair and stand up in it, he climbed in his infant carseat the other night and then couldn't get out, & whenever someone opens the fridge he darts straight for it (same with the dishwasher). I can only imagine what's going to happen once he starts walking...

Christmas Tree

I put my Christmas Tree up over the course of 3 days (13, 14 and 15th) because heaven forbid I get any help from Dustin. The only presents under it so far are ALL my brother's from my Mom. I've got LOTS more to wrap but haven't had the time. I LOVE Christmas (especially when I get to go home), and it takes so much time to get the tree all set up, that putting it up the day after Thanksgiving just doesn't give me enough time to enjoy it. So, poo on the normal traditions! I'm starting my own tradition, and I'll set it up every year whenever the mood hits me :-) By the way, it looks WAY better in person. Me and Dustin have NEVER liked gold anything, but I bought everything 75% off last year after Christmas, and we both actually REALLY like how it turned out. I will NEVER wear gold jewelry though :-)

Super Saturday

I went to Super Saturday for the first time ever, and it was actually pretty fun. I kinda had to though because I'm on the Enrichment Committee (blah). This is one of the things I made, which I think turned out really cute. It was my first time to ever stain something and my first time using Mod Podge. I had LOTS of first's that day :-)

Trick-or-Treating

Trayce and I went trick-or-treating with his best friend Chloe and her Mom Jen while the guys stayed at home and passed out candy. At about the 3rd house, someone was dressed up really scary, and Trayce being the big wuss that he is, DID NOT like it too much. I had to hold him, and he just dug his fingers into my arm and shook. So, all the houses after that (which was quite a bit), he made Chloe go knock on the door and he stayed at the bottom of the stairs until the person came to the front door and he was able to see that they weren't some scary monster. Then, he would walk up the stairs and say "trick or treat, thank you, bye-bye." It was really cute. When we got home me and Dustin went through his candy and ate the chocolate :-)

Halloween Party at Grandma's

Every year Dustin's Mom has a Halloween party for the grandkids. They dress up in their costumes, play games, and eat pizza and sweets. Trayce was freaked out by the cousins wearing masks as you could tell in the group picture. Carter had to hold him down for a quick picture.

Trayce helped Daddy carve a pumpkin today for his 1st time, but after it was done and the face was in it, he didn't want to get anywhere near it. He just kept saying "Scary" and shaking his hands. So, I took some pictures of Trevyn with the pumpkin instead.

Buzz Lightyear To The Rescue

Meme bought these Buzz Lightyear PJ's for Trayce, and he absolutely LOVES them!!! I don't know if he had ever seen the movie before so he didn't know who Buzz was. Well, we have the movie in VHS so I had him watch it, and he has watched it every day now for the past 5 days. And, he likes to pretend that he's Buzz and jump off the coffee table.

Trevyn - 10 1/2 Months

Trevyn is 10 1/2 months old, and is sooo active!!! He pulls himself up to EVERYTHING, and he's started walking behind his lion toy which he loves. Of course Trayce always wants to take it away from him because he doesn't quite get the whole sharing thing yet.

Our neighbors have a bunch of these riding toys, and Trayce absolutely LOVES them! He and Sammy will get on one and head down the street with me yelling the whole time for Trayce and Sammy to turn around, but of course they don't listen. So, the neighbor usually has to end up hopping in her vehicle to go get them, by which time they have already made it to the next street. And, I don't know why Trayce is fascinated with licking the steering wheel...

Getting Ready for Daycare

I haven't updated my blog in FOREVER so I decided to add a few things. Trayce has been going to Daycare on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-1 for the past month thanks to Meme and Pop. It gives me a much needed break, and he loves it. He never wants to stay when I drop him off, but then he never wants to leave when I pick him up. Imagine that :-) I take Trevyn every once in a while just to give myself an even better break. Too bad we aren't rich, or I'd be taking him more often too. Trayce got a new backpack with Mickey Mouse on it, and I had his name monogrammed on it. He LOVES it!

Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma's House

We had a small little Easter Egg hunt at Grandma's on Sunday with Trayce and his cousin Jacob. The REAL Easter Egg hunt and party was 1 week prior, and that's when all the cousins were there. Trayce and Jacob had a really good time though.

All of the grandkids got together at Grandma's and Grandpa's house for the yearly Easter Egg Hunt. Since they were gone on their mission last year, this was Trayce's first time to have a REAL Easter Egg Hunt, and he absolutely LOVED it!!! He LOVES all the attention that he gets from his Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

New Swing Set

My parents are the best!!! They bought Trayce and Trevyn this swing set. It's going to suck having to put it together, but it will definitely be worth it. Trayce absolutely LOVES playing outside and going to the park. Now we will have our own little park right in our backyard.

Good Bye Truck

So, Dustin officially sold his truck on Monday, and he wanted to cry. We are trying to cut back on our monthly expenses and getting rid of the truck only made since. Dustin didn't drive it very much (it's a 2007 and only had 12,000 miles). Although, he will definitely miss it...It's the best thing for the budget right now. Now we are down to the Nissan Pathfinder, but we also have my Dad's van if we ever need to drive it. It's a REAL humdinger!!!

New Mantel

Dustin helped Jeremy and Tara install a dark brown stained mantel at their house, and I REALLY liked it so I had Dustin make one for us in black. It was originally the same color as the walls, so Dustin had to knock out the sheet-rock. Then, he installed a pre-primed 2x4 and painted it black. I'm still getting use to it, but I think I'm going to really like it. It definitely adds a lot of contrast.

Trayce and I joined a Mom's Day Out group, and this week we went to Jumpin Jacks in Springville. Trayce was freaked out by all the blowup toys. He would just cling to me like something was going to get him. I'm not so sure he liked the BIG slide either.

I had Trayce's 16 month pictures taken today at Sears Grand. It was a pain trying to get him to cooperate, but now that he's walking, he just doesn't want to stay still. All considering, I think they turned out pretty good. Thanks again Ashley for letting us borrow the costume. And, the little outfit that he's wearing (hoodie and onesie underneath that has a lion on it) is something I bought from DI yesterday (from Gymboree brand new with tags still on them). I LOVE DI!!!

Jazz Game

So, I guess it was kinda good that we had to reschedule our pictures because we got invited to a Jazz game with Kat and Kaleb and got to sit on the front row right under the goal. It was awesome even though we lost. It was just a pre-season game so it didn't really matter. We got to see Shaq who is a total monster. And, I managed to get a picture of Korver going up for a rebound.

Dustin took Trayce outside while he was cleaning the garage out, but he wasn't really watching him very good because Trayce got on some little tricycle toy and fell off and scratched the right side of his face all up. Since I've been in Arkansas, Stephanie and I met Sara in Shreveport Louisiana to have the cousins picture made together. It was REALLY hard to get a picture with all of them looking. My parents and my Mom's sister recently came out to Utah to visit, and we went to Cascade Springs because my Aunt had never been, and I hadn't been since I was really young. It was really pretty!

Sundance

We went up to Sundance while my parents were in Utah and rode up the ski lift, which was really cold and windy. My Mom's sister had bought a shirt at the gift store beforehand, so we put it on Trayce so that he wouldn't get too cold. I think it was just a little too big:)

Trevyn's Bedroom

Here's a picture of Trevyn's room, who is due on December 22nd. Dustin is really good at woodwork, painting, etc. He's the one who put up the chair rail and painted. I'm good at putting things together though (Dustin doesn't like reading the directions), so I'm the one who put the crib together.

McDonald's Playland

We took Trayce to McDonald's for the first time to play in the playland, and he really liked it. Although, he would only go in it if Dustin went with him. So, when no one was looking, Dustin went in with him; up the stairs, through the tubes, and down the slide.

Utah State Fair

We took Trayce to the State Fair on September the 11th, and he seemed to really enjoy it. We only let him ride 4 different rides though because either Dustin or myself had to ride with him since he wasn't tall enough, and it cost too much. Plus, Dustin and I wanted to eat all the good food they have, which really cost a ton.
